Built in the 1960s, the shearers quarters was designed to house the shearing gangs that would come to shear sheep on the part dairy, part dry stock farm in Galatea. The Old Shearers Quarters has since been renovated to provide guests with all the modern comforts whilst maintaining its original character. The bright and airy living space encompasses a kitchen, dining and living area and has picturesque views of the mountains and dairy farm.

Lake Aniwhenua is a short stroll through the adjoining paddock and is abundant in Rainbow and Brown trout and can be fished all year round.
