Forest Cafe, Philipp Road, Apia (look for the sign opposite Baha’i Temple on Cross Island Road)
Have a cup of coffee with the butterflies and birds at Forest Cafe. The cafe is on a sturdy wooden platform that sits over a ravine and looks into the forest. It’s all about the atmosphere at Forest Cafe, it’s a small and simple set up but that also makes it a peaceful and relaxing place to be.
The temperature drops slightly the higher you go in Apia so it feels a few degrees cooler at the cafe, we found it a beautiful spot for coffee and cheesecake.
Posters on the wall help you identify the different types of birds and butterflies you may see, and the short blackboard menu offers smoothies, and lunch dishes like Samoan souvlaki, and chicken curry. Forest Cafe is one of only a few cafes to open on Sunday, open 7 days, 9am – 3pm.
It’s closed !
Hi Sheree
I had a look at their Facebook page (linked as Forest Cafe at the top of the post) and they’d posted to say they would be closed for some excavation work (possibly when you visited), but they’re open again now. They regularly post any changes in hours so it’s always worth checking their page. It gives you somewhere new to go next time if you return to Samoa, it’s a lovely spot.
PS. It occurred to me you might be in Samoa now, if so, it says they’re opening at 2pm on the 28th.
