Classics Museum in Hamilton

Plenty of Kiwi blokes have sheds, but not many sheds house a multi million dollar collection of classic cars and automobilia. Hamilton businessman Tom Andrews has turned his shed into the Classics Museum at 11 Railside Place. We counted more than 60 cars plus motor bikes, petrol station memorabilia, and a treasure trove of bonnet emblems, badges, tricycles and pedal cars. The vehicles on display come from the Andrews’s private collection as well as car clubs.

Pigging out at Hog’s Breath in Hamilton

Hog’s Breath Cafe featured on the Australian version of Undercover Boss a few months ago. Some people probably watched the show and picked up some business management tips. We watched the show, saw a massive dessert and used Google to find out whether there was a Hog’s Breath in NZ. There are currently two, one in Hamilton and one in Napier. Hamilton is just a hop, skip and a jump down the road from Auckland, hopping, skipping and jumping being just the things to be doing before eating the massive dessert that is the Hoggies Rocky Road Sundae ($17.50).
